APRIL 1, 2020
Aceti's Pizzeria dining room will have to close as of today.
TORONTO — Ontario Premier Doug Ford declared a state of emergency Tuesday in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ordering the closure of bars, restaurants, theatres, libraries and banning public events with over 50 people.
“We’re facing an unprecedented time in our history,” Ford said. “This was a decision that was not made lightly.”
The declaration’s intent is to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus and avoid overwhelming the health-care system, Ford said.
Effective immediately, the province ordered the closure of all facilities providing indoor recreation programs, all public libraries, all private schools, all licensed childcare centres, all theatres, cinemas and concert venues, and all bars and restaurants except to provide takeout food and delivery.
The order also bans public events of over 50 people, including parades, events and services within places of worship. It is in place until April 30.
Famous Pizza & Wings since 1966!
Back in 1966, armed with a recipe & a dream, Leonardo & Rosina Aceti opened a small kitchen serving pizza pies. Using the recipe they were raised with in Cosenza, Italy they would make their dough from scratch & by hand. Using only the finest ingredients & quality toppings, word quickly spread throughout the Hamilton area about a great tasting pizza. It wasn’t long before the demand outgrew the capabilities of the small kitchen. In 1970, a dining room was added to accommodate guests desire to eat the fresh pizzas straight from the oven.
Not much has changed since then, we still make our dough fresh in store using the exact recipe Leonardo & Rosina Aceti brought to Canada. We hand-stretch the dough & add our unique pizza sauce. It is topped with real mozzarella cheese & fresh toppings baked on our stone slabs making for great pizzas!
We here at Aceti’s want to welcome you and thank you for choosing our restaurant today. So whether you are dining in with us or having our great tasting food delivered to you, we welcome you and we hope you enjoy your time here as much as we enjoy having you.
